Marine. Student of the human mind. Founder. Author. The titles matter less than the road between them.
Bradley D. Wilson · Tampa Bay, Florida
I’ve spent a lot of my life in places where the difference between an idea and an action matters.
That is true in the military. It is true when you build a company. It is true when you put something on a page and ask another person to trust you with their time.
I’m Bradley Wilson: founder and Chief Architect of Aetheria Intelligence, a writer working across fiction, philosophy, and technical education, and a Marine Corps veteran. I’m interested in what people and intelligent systems do with the power they have—and who gets to decide.
01 / SERVICE
Responsibility before theory.
I joined the United States Marine Corps in 1996, after high school in Charleston, Illinois. I went through recruit training in San Diego and spent 15 years in Marine Corps Military Police.
At 19, my first duty station was HMX-1, the presidential helicopter squadron, in a security assignment supporting President Clinton. Later assignments took me to Camp Pendleton and Kaneohe Bay.
In that world, authority is practical. There are responsibilities, limits, orders, and consequences. Knowing how to do something is only part of the job. Understanding whether you are authorized to do it is just as real.
Years later, that distinction became central to the questions I ask about AI. The uniform came first. The architecture came later.
02 / STUDY
The questions got bigger.
My academic path crossed theology, philosophy, and psychology. I earned a bachelor’s degree in theology with a minor in philosophy, studied Hebrew, Koine Greek, and Latin in seminary, and earned a master’s degree in general psychology. I also pursued doctoral studies in evolutionary psychology.
Those disciplines gave me different ways to approach the same stubborn problems. How do beliefs take hold? What makes an argument convincing? What is the difference between a conviction and a claim that can survive evidence?
I’m willing to question an idea I once believed. That willingness matters to me more than belonging to a particular intellectual camp. An explanation has to answer to the world, even when the world refuses to cooperate.
03 / BUILDING
Ideas have to survive contact.
I founded Aetheria Intelligence to work on a problem that gets easier to overlook as AI gets more capable: the difference between producing an answer and having the authority to act on it.
My work asks how institutions can specify permission, constrain an action, and establish evidence of what actually happened. The point is to make responsibility visible in the system, instead of relying on a confident answer or a well-worded instruction.
Aetheria is part of USF CONNECT’s Tampa Bay Technology Incubator. Being in Tampa Bay’s founder community gives the work a setting beyond diagrams and documents: people building companies, testing assumptions, and finding out what holds up.
Through Aetheria Consulting, I’m also developing a practical path into AI agents and business automation. The starting point is the work a business actually needs done—and the control it needs to keep.
Not every question belongs in a technical paper. Fiction lets me approach the parts of being human that won’t sit still for a definition. Philosophy gives me room to examine a claim slowly. Technical writing asks me to make the idea precise enough for someone else to test.
Mind Virus is a psychological and speculative horror novel about identity, memory, love, and a reality that refuses to stay intact. The Way There develops a philosophy of agency and becoming: how choices change our present position and the futures we can reach.
Aetheria: Delegated Authority and Execution Governance brings the institutional and technical questions into a teaching manuscript. My preprint, The Authority Gap, examines the gap between a system’s ability to reason and its entitlement to act.
The books are different on purpose. I don’t want every part of my life squeezed into a company description.
I’m a husband and father, based in Tampa Bay. I follow the Bulls, the Bucs, and the Rays. I can get pulled into a conversation about consciousness, history, cosmology, or why a familiar belief has gone unquestioned for so long.
With Shiv Patel, I’m developing Who Put Normal In Charge?, a conversational media project about technology, culture, and the world around us. The premise is simple: we have questions.
I take the work seriously. I also like a good argument, a sense of humor, and people who have something to say in their own voice. I’d rather have a real conversation than deliver a perfect pitch.
